Founded by serial entrepreneur Riccardo Vittoria (whose last venture was acquired by American Express GBT), Acai Travel is led by experienced leaders, including Pavel Pratyush (ex-Manomano, eBay) heading up Engineering.

What You’ll Do at Acai

• Build the Frontend: Take the lead in developing our user-facing applications, using TypeScript, React, and Next.js to create a seamless, responsive, and dynamic user experience.
• Collaborate Closely: Work hand-in-hand with our backend engineers, designers, and product team to deliver features that align with our vision and meet our users' needs.
• Own the UI: Be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the frontend codebase. Ensure high performance and responsiveness across different devices and platforms.
• Innovate: Contribute to the development of new features and improvements, bringing creative solutions to complex problems.
• Optimize for Scale: Focus on optimizing applications for speed and scalability, ensuring a smooth experience as our user base grows.

What We’re Looking For

• Frontend Expertise: 3+ years of experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js. You have a strong grasp of modern frontend development practices and principles.
• UI/UX Focus: Passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces with a keen eye for detail.
• Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You’re comfortable discussing design choices and technical solutions with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Problem Solver: Ability to think critically and solve complex problems efficiently.
• Experience with Modern Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Vercel, build tools (Webpack, Babel), unit testing, etc.

Bonus Points For

• Design Skills: Experience working closely with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
• Testing: Knowledge of frontend testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or similar.
• SEO & Performance: Understanding of SEO best practices and performance optimization in frontend development.

Location

We’re a hands-on team that thrives on in-person collaboration. Our office is a dynamic, startup environment where we whiteboard and problem-solve together every day.
